Synopsis:

Count Casarius fell victim to a plague and died suddenly, leaving behind a will stating that Rietta, a beautiful young widow of the manor, whom he tried to use as a concubine, be buried alive alongside him. Just before Rietta is buried, Archduke Axias, rumored to be a cruel tyrant, arrives at the funeral to collect the enormous debt Count Casarius still owes him.

“Everyone here seems to feel sorry for her, and I still have a debt to collect from Casarius… If I take her instead, I think all of you here should be happy,” he smiled, “Hello, my temptress.”

Honestly, the story was pretty good and interesting. I really like the plot of the story, it was pretty dark and I cried but I felt like I was going down a rabbit hole. I felt that things done in this manhwa all have a hidden agenda to it and that makes it really difficult to know whether things are done on a pure basis or not. 

 

First of all, I can already tell how screwed this manhwa is just from the description alone. Burying a dead person is just a really assh*le move of her husband and honestly at this point of time, I just really thinking that she is the victim and she is pure and innocent. However, as the story went one, it started to feel fishy. Like why did the Axias suddenly cared so much for her, how did he suddenly fall in love with her? And not only that, Rietta started to look rather cruel and creepy. So after this, I read the spoilers and I was not wrong. Apparently, Rietta did some magic to make Axias fall for her. And there was something about her child as well. Oh yes! Speaking of her child, it was just so scary the way Rietta was reacting when she was suffering from trauma about the death of her child. But it is normal for mothers, isn’t it. 

 

Anyways, I don’t really want to continue with this story. I personally dont think I will like it but if you find these kinds of genres interesting, then be my guest.
